Well, I’m waiting for my liquid mix.
I think it will’ll be all fine. Don’t want to buy a macbook pro.
(my macbook is pretty new, and it’s running perfect Logic, Live and dozens of plugins)
And about the liquid mix, do you like it?
I was in a dilemma about the UAD or Liquid Mix, but
my budget decided it would be the LM though.

Yes using a hub is probably less effective than daisy chaining. Unfortunately, many FW devices do NOT have a daisy chain port (especially in pro audio), so this is not always possible. But I would definitely daisy chain before I use a hub if possible.

Yeah, I’m using the traveler basically for monitoring.
The motu has an additional firewire port.
Would be possible to daisy chain the liquid mix with the motu?

Yes, I think you can. I haven’t run into any issues running Powercore FW, Liquid Mix, and ProTools / Duet.

Of course, if you’re using lots of I/O on the traveler you might have a different experience.

Everything I read says don’t do what we are doing, but I think if you’re mostly only monitoring out of your I/O (or tracking a couple of tracks plus monitoring) you’ll probably overwhelm your devices before you flood the bus. But I haven’t done the math to know for sure.

Hey,
I’m using a macbook (black) intel 2.4 with 4 gb ram.
I’m connecting a motu traveler on the single firewire port.
Do you think I can use the liquid mix with no problems?
