Flyleaf
I really like some of their music, but the harder screaming stuff isn’t my bag. “Fully Alive” is one of my faves.

Elizabeth At Bandera Volcano
We got lost in the snow, hauled a guy 10 miles through the back country when his car got stuck, and finally made it to this volcano – which was a mile hike or so. I was pretty winded when we got to the top but this is one of my all time favorite pictures of my wife.

Goodwin
I used to play with (sometimes), record (lots), and help promote (frequently) these guys when they were Uncle Pete’s Parade (with a different singer and drummer), Bindle (with the current singer but a different drummer), and…well, I can’t even remember all the name changes. Nevertheless, Matt, Tony and Daniel rawk out and have a groove that you just have to hear to appreciate. Don’t miss Goodwin, or you’ll be sorry. These guys are always in my ipod.

Superstring, Featuring Julie Elizabeth Lange
www.superstringsound.com – These guys rock. I worked with Julie Lange, the lead singer, many years ago and she is amazing. If I still lived in Texas I’d be watching these guys as often as I could. And their recordings are excellent. You should really check them out.

El Capitan And Merced River In Snow And Shadows
Not sure when I took this exactly, but it’s one of my favorite winter shots. I wish the light on the river was a little better, but beggars can’t be choosers and it was a day trip.

Imogen Heap – Lead Singer of Frou Frou
If you like Frou Frou, then you might like Imogen’s solo work. It’s not the trip-hoppiness of her former self, but there’s some eclectic and cool stuff going on here. Check out “Hide and Seek” for a real treat. www.imogenheap.co.uk

Tally Hall
These indie rockers have one album out – Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum – and it’s a good one. They must be influenced by Ben Folds and his ilk, though I am not really sure. “Good Day” is one of my favorite tracks, though “Just Apathy” is a great track, too. www.tallyhall.com

Paramore
Their latest album, Riot!, has some pretty cool tunes on it (I must admit I have a soft spot for female singers), and I love the combination of a great female singer backed by a hard rock band. The big hit “Misery Business” is even better in its acoustic trimmings, but “Fences” is fast becoming my favorite on their second album. www.paramore.net

Dashboard Confessional
These guys have been around for a while, and have a new album The Shade Of Poison Trees. I prefer their previous album, Dusk And Summer, and especially the track “Stolen.” www.dashboardconfessional.com
